Morning is the preferred time to receive pitches and press releases for 70 per cent of journalists.
To avoid competition, try not to publish your press release on the hour (such as exactly 9 AM or 11 AM). This is because organisations tend to schedule their releases to go out on the hour, which means if your release goes out on the hour too, it's more likely to get drowned out in a sea of releases. Instead, try going with a unique time (such as 9:12 AM or 11:37 AM).
