What are volume boosts, and how do they work?

Volume boosts offer a way to manage temporary surges in media mentions that may exceed your monthly limit. These boosts are available at no additional cost and can be activated before or after an anticipated spike in coverage.

How volume boosts work

If you anticipate a surge in mentions, you can request a volume boost to ensure uninterrupted monitoring. When activated, a boost will:

• Backfill paused mentions: Any mentions missed due to a pause in monitoring will be backfilled from within the current calendar month.
• Reactivate searches: All paused searches will automatically resume upon activation.
• Enable new searches: You may use a boost for one-off searches, such as monitoring a specific campaign or conducting a competitor analysis.

To activate a volume boost, simply contact our Customer Success Team. Once requested, boosts are typically activated within 24 hours.

Usage alerts

To help manage your allowance, you’ll receive email notifications when your mention count reaches 80% and 90% of your monthly limit. These alerts provide an opportunity to activate a boost if needed.
