All plans include the ability to conduct historical searches for past mentions, with varying levels of access based on the plan tier. This allows users to access and manage past media coverage.
Historical data within the platform is categorised into two types:
- Historical searching
- Historical data storage
Historical Searching
The ability to conduct historical searches for past mentions is included across all plans, with varying levels of access based on the plan tier:
- Essentials Plan: Search up to 30 days in the past.
- Advance Plan: Search up to 6 months in the past.
- Premium Plan: Search up to 12 months in the past.
One-off historical searches
For Advance and Premium subscribers, one-off searches beyond 30 days can be conducted to locate mentions without impacting the monthly mention allowance. Instead, Advance and Premium clients receive an annual allowance for historical searches that allows flexible access as needed.
Important note: Since Medianet’s monitoring service launched in November 2024, historical data is available starting from 1 October 2024. As each new month passes, additional historical data will accumulate and become searchable, extending the depth of coverage available for historical searches.
Historical Data Storage
Mentions collected from your active searches are stored in your account for the duration aligned with your plan level:
- Essentials Plan: Mentions stored for 30 days.
- Advance Plan: Mentions stored for 6 months.
- Premium Plan: Mentions stored for 12 months.
Expiry of monitored mentions
The retention of monitored mentions in your account depends on the date range parameters set when initiating each search:
- Ongoing searches: Mentions remain accessible as long as they fall within the plan’s designated storage period.
- Rolling date ranges: If a search uses a rolling 7-day or 30-day range, mentions will expire and be removed from your account as they fall outside the set timeframe (after 7 or 30 days, respectively).
This setup allows you to tailor historical data retention to match your monitoring needs, with flexibility for both short-term and long-term insights based on your chosen plan.
